BTUI'24 is one of the biggest and most prestigious interschool all-island ICT competitions, in Sri Lanka organized by Royal College. Of the various events included in BTUI'24; devans participated and won both the Interschool Quiz and the Competitive Programming event.

Maliyadeva College placed 2nd and 3rd place in the (online) preliminary selections around and the (online) quarter-finals were selected as the semi-finals out of 50+ participating schools. In the onsite semi-finals held in the senior computer lab of Royal College, Maliyadeva College won first place, defeating Anada College, Dharmaraja College, and Mahanama College.

In the finals held on stage at BTUI'24; Maliyadeva College performed extraordinary defeating Anada College with a score of 120 - 45.
